Discussion: Post a comment describing your brainstorming process for WP #1. What strategy did you decide to use (prewriting, clustering, listing)? What was your experience? How do you think this strategy will aid you in writing your first draft? What, if any, are the drawbacks of this strategy?

ReplyDeleteThe strategy I used was listing I used listing because I taught of it as an easier way to jump right into my essay it help me a paint a picture in my head of words I would like to use to help bring my essay to life and supporting ideas to bring out the main topic of my essay. This way of brainstorming was a wonderful experience for me because it gave me a drive to instantly begin my essay and it helped to make more ideas come to mind.
The strategy I used was listing and clustering which really helped a great deal. In the past I have always sat down and scribbled on paper when I had writing assignments. This way was a lot easier because as I thought about what I wanted to write about, I wrote it down and gave a brief summary of what I wanted to say which made it easier for me to start my essay.

ReplyDeleteThe type of writing pattern that I chose to brainstorm with is prewriting. The reason I chose prewriting is because I am writing a story that personally describes me and my experience. There haven't been any drawbacks to using this type of brainstorming writing strategy for me.
Hello, I used listing because when I list, I can remind any important detail and expand it. In my daily life I do the same with the chores and every thing I have to do, so, It works for me. In fact, I always have a little notebook with me for taking annotations or simply for list things or ideas I have to develop. I feel comfortable listing because I am sure that writing every detail or idea I won't miss important things I must do.
ReplyDeleteI decided to use the clustering strategy. This strategy works for me because I am able to put all my ideas down on paper and than I could just order them in which it best suit. Also I could always just add more and more ideas. I think its the best way.
ReplyDeleteI desided to use listing strategy i think this is more commmon type of writing for me in order express myself the way i can. Surely later on i'll try other type also
ReplyDeleteIt depends on how I feel at the time that I’m writing the paper. I have used each of these methods at one point in time or another. What proves to be most useful for me is free writing. I don’t want to over think the topic and prewrite for it to death and at the end of the day I still have nothing. I write my paper having all my thoughts on that paper, how it sounds in my mind. Usually it comes out great. The downside of this type of writing is that I may write and during the re reading process it may not always make sense. Re writing the paper because of slight mishaps maybe time consuming
